Pen and ink, markers, fancy computer paint-bucket coloring, 12″x8.5,”
After accumulating several hundred pages of Coelacanthus it occurred to me (at the behest of many readers) to assemble a bunch of it into a book. Print-on-demand publishing was quite different for me, used as I was to making comics via a copy shop. I knew jolly well that a barcode was going to be automatically insinuated on the cover. What the online template didn’t say was that you couldn’t choose where to put it! Ergo, even after I’d composed my back cover image to accommodate such a modern convenience I had to rework the whole thing to the fixed barcode placement. Thus the lasso with the rectangular-shaped loop.
