Pen and Ink, 11″x17″ 2012.

This was a commission by Dan Knudsen for a second T-shirt design. I’d already made one design for him based on his song “Creatures of the Sand,” the T-shirt of which sold successfully, so we figured we’d have another go. For this I tried for quite some time to compose a good visual “hook” while cramming in as many of the fun details in the song’s lyrics as possible, while keeping it pretty different from what the “Creatures” shirt looks like. It’s screen-printed quite nicely and you can buy a shirt at Strange Maine (Dan’s venue four times a year) or from Dan himself.
